Regional Achievement Academy offers the following programs to fulfill students’ educational, social, & emotional goals:

Full Year Placement Program

Alternative Interim Placement Program

Regional Achievement Academy’s Alternative Interim Placement Program (AIP) enables students who require a different environment than their sending school or district to continue receiving academic, social, and emotional services. The program helps children in grades 4 - 12 fulfill their educational goals and develop life skills. Students are placed in AIP for a variety of reasons, including:

Suspension
Waiting for placement at another educational program
Waiting for a Child Study Team evaluation

Full Year Placement Program

Full-Year Placement is geared towards both classified and non-classified students in grades 4 through 12 who require an alternative placement from their sending school or district. We accept students for a variety of reasons:

In danger of not graduating
Chronic discipline/attendance problems
Be adjudicated, self-abusive or drug involved
A variety of mental health issues

Next steps

For those considering placing their student in the Regional Achievement Academy program, please contact the school principal, Kathleen Miller. A referral packet must also be completed and emailed to the school secretary, Linda Ceccarelli.

The packet will be reviewed by the Principal, Social Worker, and School Psychologist, and then a meeting will be scheduled with the student, parents/guardians, and a district representative to discuss the program and student’s needs.
