AI in Education: Opportunities & Obstacles
While there is no question that AI has the potential to revolutionize teaching and learning, it also adds urgent pressure on educators to transform policy and practice. In this session, we'll discuss AI’s impact on our schools and concerns surrounding assessment, ethics, internet safety, and educational opportunity. We’ll also explore strategies for using AI to improve our daily workflow, such as prompting chatbots, educator resources, and cutting edge tools for productivity, as well as AI's awesome potential for personalized learning, AR, VR, and more.

Inclusive Practices: Strengthening Your Co-teaching Partnerships to Reach ALL Learners
This session will provide educators with information on how to maximize their collaborative relationships in their schools. We will walk through co-teaching models and realistic approaches to using these models in your classroom with a partner teacher. Taught by two educators to model the information, this workshop will discuss co-planning, co-teaching, and collaboration in a classroom with diverse learners. Participants will have time to explore tools, resources, and strategies as part of the model, asking questions and growing their toolboxes to reach all learners. We strongly encourage co-teaching teams to attend together.
Intended Audience - Elementary level teachers and support staff, Secondary level teachers and support staff, Special Education Teachers. If possible, general education teachers should attend with their special education co-teachers
Brain Hacks! Sharpening Executive Functioning Skills in the Classroom
Executive functioning impacts student behavior, organization, attention, and retention of information. In this session, educators will learn how simple classroom strategies can support students in sharpening their executive functioning skills. Participants will be introduced to current research on brain-based learning and its implications for classroom practices. The presentation will also include a variety of digital resources to promote the skills students need for continued success.

Science of Reading: Phonics (grades K - 2)
This session will provide K-2 educators with an introduction to the science of reading, offering information about the five components of reading while focusing on word recognition related to reading development. We will aim to answer the following questions:
- What is phonics, and why is it important?
- What practices build decoding and word recognition skills in a young reader?
- How can we get started with this approach in my classroom?
Ample time will be given for Q&A and for participants to explore tools, resources, and strategies on their own.

This session will provide educators with an introduction to the science of reading, offering information about the five components of reading while focusing on language comprehension for students who know how to read. We will discuss strategies for teaching language structures, such as syllabication and teaching vocabulary.
We will aim to answer the following questions:
- What is language comprehension as part of the science of reading?
- What can we do to support vocabulary learning in our classrooms?
- How can we teach language structures to students who know how to read?

Asset-Based Learning: Strengthening Inclusive Practices to Teach All Learners
This session will provide educators with an overview of neurodiversity as a way to increase asset-based instruction in their classrooms. Our focus will include information on Universal Design for Learning so that differentiation is part of planning, instruction, and assessment in today’s classroom. We will aim to answer the following questions:
- What is neurodiversity?
- How do we reduce deficit-based thinking and practices in our spaces?
- What are strategies that consider and utilize learner assets in a classroom
