In the workshop, we will discuss common challenges seen in the classroom, antecedent (proactive) interventions, an overview of ABA (4 functions of behavior), and how to strengthen classroom management.

Having worked with over 120 schools across New Jersey and over 35 schools across the country, Christine has observed notable strengths as well as significant weaknesses in the New Jersey process that tend to leave parents and teachers frustrated and make districts vulnerable to avoidable lawsuits. Christine Limongello is an Educational Consultant and Nationally Certified School Psychologist with Limon Educational Consulting, LLC based in New Jersey, with state certifications in NJ, IL, CA, GA, and MA. In this presentation, she will focus on building legally defensible educational plans using a sound decision-making process to maximize student potential in the least restrictive environment. Discussion will focus on the intervention process, improving communication of eligibility decisions, developing behavior intervention plans, considering ethical variables, supporting executive functioning challenges, using trauma-informed practices, and increasing positive school climate. The presentation is for educators supporting students ages 2- 22 in general education and special education. Case studies and collaborative discussion will follow.

About MOESC PD:

The MOESC Professional Development Series provides public and non-public partners with quality, cost-effective learning experiences from highly qualified presenters. All educators, administrators, and support staff are welcome to attend. Our sessions will be held on-site at our MRA International Learning Center in Tinton Falls. 

We are excited to partner with Kiker Learning, Google for Education PD Partner of the Year (2024), to provide educational technology training. In addition, our MOESC PD team offers sessions on various topics from inclusive education and student engagement to social-emotional learning.
