• Chapter 226 Nursing Services
    Non-Public School

The State of New Jersey provides funding for Non-Public School Nursing Services through the Chapter 226 Nursing Services Act of 1991. This requires that all school age children be assured equal access to appropriate health care services for children in both Public and Non-Public Schools. The Board of Education of a district in which a Non-Public School is located is responsible for providing these nursing services. A Board of Education may contract other Boards of Education or with any public or private agency approved by the Commissioner of Education for the provision of Non-Public nursing services.

Monmouth-Ocean Educational Services Commission provides Chapter 226 Nursing Services in Monmouth and Ocean Counties at 86 Non-Public schools.
