About Us

In the State of New Jersey, an Educational Services Commission (ESC) is a public entity established under N.J.S.A. 18A:6-51 et seq. to provide shared educational programs and services to school districts on a regional or statewide basis. ESCs are governed by a board of directors and operate as public school agencies.
 

ESCs offer cost-effective and specialized services—such as special education programs, transportation, cooperative purchasing, professional development, and administrative support—designed to improve efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, reduce costs for member districts, and enhance educational opportunities for students.
