An Adolescent Substance Abuse Program
The goal of Crossroadsis to provide drug awareness education that is age-appropriate for middle and high school classified and non-classified students. The program assists the adolescent in successfully negotiating the necessary developmental milestones to recovery.
Program Components include:
- Substance Abuse Awareness Counseling: Students receive two hours per day of substance abuse education through a variety of methods: group sessions, lectures, experiential exercise, and guest speakers.
- Education: Adolescents are provided with daily academic instruction based upon their Individualized Educational Programs in partnership with their sending districts.
- Socialization: Students participate in teambuilding activities, both on and off school grounds, including Adventure Based Education and outings with a trained facilitator, as a means of building sobriety –based social and recreational skills. Adventure trips include kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, fishing and more.
Student Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am-12:00pm
Monthly evening Family Fun Night: 6:30pm-8:00pm
Conjoint sessions are by appointment only and at the discretion of the clinical staff.
