Alternate Interim Placement Program
The Alternate Interim Placement Program (AIP) is geared towards both classified
and non-classified students in grades 6 through 12 who require an alternative placement
from their sending school or district.
Students are placed in AIP for a variety of reasons: while they are suspended from
their regular school, while they are awaiting placement at another educational program
or while they are awaiting a child study team evaluation. Program enrollment may
last up to 45 days, with renewals available through administration.
Students receive full instruction from certified staff, with the support services
of on-site counseling staff, so that they may continue their district academics,
as supplied from their sending schools. All work is evaluated and forwarded to the
sending district for the awarding of credits.
